Apple Ipad Detailed Specs


Apple claims that its most advanced technology is in its new ipad tablet that cost $500. The new Apple ipad Wi-Fi models will be available in mid march while its 3G models will be available in April in the market.

Most exciting and major features of Apple's ipad tablet:

1. Almost 140,000 Apps at your finger tips.

It is the best touch device which holds 140,000 apps at your finger tips. The device is compatible with "almost" all the existing apps. It can even run the apps that you have already downloaded from apple store for your iPhone or iPod.

2. 0.5 inches thick and 1.5 pound.

Before it even launch launched we knew that Apple would have to make this device slick and light weighted. Weight of only 1.5 pound makes it look like anvils (with the exception of Sony's Vaio P that weights 1.4 pound). It is 0.5 inch thin and little curve at the back makes it very comfortable to hold and pick up.

3. A4 processor of 1GHz.

To make the apps work smoothly, efficiently and quickly the processor plays the main and big role in a device. The device comes with a 1GHz A4 processor which makes the ipad to drift seamlessly through apps, auto orients in a snap, zoom fluidity etc. The A4 chip inside the ipad is extremely powerful and efficient. The processor is power efficient that helps the ipad to work longer and increase the battery backup time. On a single charge it can give up to 10 hours of backup.

4. iBooks.

While designing the ipad, apple clearly had the kindle and its e-reader in mind. Which makes the ibook one of its most critical and important features. It can eliminate the need for an extra $350 device.

5. 10 hours of battery life.

To increase the battery life lithium-polymer technology is used. You can get up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge.

6. LED backlit IPS display.

It has 9.7 inch LED IPS (in-plane switching) display that makes it perfect for watching movies, playing games, web browsing. It has 178 degree view angle that get a brilliant picture will amazing contrast while holding it anyway.
