Nvidia Gtx 295 Vs Ati Radeon HD 5970

As you all know the two largest Graphics card companies NVIDIA and ATI always put a pressure on each other by releasing their graphics card. Both claims that they have the fastest graphics card, but who is the actual ruler of the Graphics and Performance

ATI has recently released its latest t graphics card i.e. RADEON HD 5970 which is really a good treat for performance hungry and hardcore gamers folks. It seems that the ATI is putting a lot of pressure on NVIDIA, so they came back in to the battle with its latest graphics card called NVIDIA GTX 295.

Both Nvidia's and Ati's graphics card are considered as the "dual GPU cards" because they are specially designed. NVIDIA GTX 295 was made by combining two GPUs (two GTX 280) which works on GT200 architecture, while ATI RADEON HD 5970 is also made by combining two GPUs (two RADEON HD 5870) which works on RV870 architecture.

Over clocking the HD 5970 will be a little bit challenging. For over clocking the device you have to use some utility program like Redline utility. Over clocking enhance the performance but brought the fan noise that ATI graphics card always did. Card comes with an eyefinity technology with which we can use up to 3 displays in single time that enhances the level of immersion in your favorite games.

Nvidia's GTX 295 has the same shader clock speed, core, memory as the GTX 260, each GPUs featuring 80 TAU (texture address units), 28 ROP( rasterization operation units). The performance of card with core i7 is just phenomenal. It outstrips the performance of the HD 4870x2 and core i7. Nvidia pulled off the cooling in a card using a heat pipe based solution.

ATI Radeon HD 5970 shows a amazing benchmarks from popular games like Far Cry 2, GTA 4, Crysis- Warhead. It performed very well on CPU stressing game like GTA 4. When everything was maxed,it record an average of 64 FPS (Frames per Second). It comes with DX 11.0 that enhance the graphics.

Right now ATI HD 5970 comes with a price tag of $990(little bit differ on other sites), that doesn't look a great deal to me.

If you are extreme game lover performance hungry then you must wait for GTX 300 (Nvidia's latest graphics card) which might be release in first quarter of 2010.

Nvidia's Fermi Gtx 300 Vs Ati's HD 5870 Cards

ATI has recently released its fastest graphics card, which is RADEON HD 5970.

It seems that with its latest released RADEON HD 5970; ATI is putting an extreme pressure on NVIDIA.

Now Nvidia has finally decided to come in action with the overwhelming approach of ATI.

The picture of NV 100 GPU has been recently introduced on BSN site showing the desktop version GF 100.

While many fans and readers believe that the picture introduced by the BSN site is fake, executives of Nvidia have proved its authenticity in Guangzhou (China) at the opening ceremony of experience store of Nvidia.

Drew Henry the senior director of platform products shows the same picture of GF 100 GPU with his cell phone running the DirectX11.

The next generation CUDA technology has been given a name FERMI, is the most advance GPU architecture that has been ever built.

Fermi features many important innovations:

1. 512 CUDA cores

Fermi cuda cores are optimized for both exceptional performance and accuracy. Double precision performance up to 8 times faster than GPU architecture.

2. ECC support (Error Checking and Correction)

Fermi is the first GPU architecture to support error checking and correction (ECC), this technology detects and corrects soft errors before they affect the system. Registered files, Cache and DRAM all are ECC protected making the most reliable GPU.

3. Giga thread engine

Giga thread engine supports high kernel execution which allows different program function to execute in parallel which improves speed and efficiency for all application. Fermi also includes dedicated bidirectional data transfer engine that intelligently manages 10s' and 1000s' of threads.

4. Parallel data cache technology

Fermi is the first GPU architecture to support cache hierarchy.

L1 cache is of 64KB (kilobytes) which improves bandwidth and reduces latency for a wide range of GPU computing applications.

L2 cache is of 768KB (kilobytes) which improves coherent data sharing across the GPU.

It contains 6 pin and 8 pin powers that means 300W will be consumed by GPU. The clock and performance are said and assumed to be very high that means you will have healthy over clocking headroom.

It is expected to be equipped with 3.0 billion transistors

Fermi makes CPU and GPU the complete spectrum of computer applications.

Besides gaming it will also make parallel programming easier and accelerates the performance of many applications, including high scientific computing, sorting, search algorithm, acceleration in ray tracing etc.

Fermi is a 49nm GPU just as rv870 but as an advantage it has 40% higher transistor count.

The price will be a valid and important concern. But at this point it is not safe to make any more assumptions. So let's wait for the real thing before we begin stuffing forums with rumors.

Major Drawbacks of Ipad

Some of the considerable impediments to Apple's latest gadget iPad are as:

1. Hideous looks:

It seems something very unacceptable, enlarged and sizeable techno, which makes it difficult to handle it with two bare hands."It looks like Apple just cleaved in too many directions".

2. Camera is missing:

Can't a 9.5 inch screen find a space for a camera? Every notebook and even an Apple iPhone have a camera facing the user to have video chat. Cost can be an issue. But 500$ isn't enough for this evil looking thing?

3. Another SPLASH, no FLASH:

Apples staff claims that it is the best device for browsing and it gives the best browsing experience to the users but it is not true because of the "flash". The new tablet doesn't support flash and without flash support, customers can't even properly relish web browsing. Come on guys, how can you go through without flash!

4. Loss of HDMI out:

Move on to something else, because this gizmo does not display high definition videos. This is disgusting, really annoying, so it would be better to stick to your TV and wait till they come with something better.

5. Awful Resolution:

Instead of going with the 1200-by-800 resolution widescreen type, the Apple iPad went with 1024 by 768, which seems to be terrible. On assuming, it appears as if a laptop screen is pressurized from both ends, creating something awkward like tablet.

6. Says no to "Multitasking":

This makes us handcuffed! Either finish the first task or terminate, to begin with something new. Paying such high price of $500, at least could have provided a support to multitasking. This is one of the biggest drawbacks on Apple's iPad. This seems very foolish, that I cannot use facebook and listen to music, simultaneously."Are you teasing or trying to pull the leg". Oh! I am not going to waste on this stuff.

7. No USB slot:

While using iPad you have to use adapters to connect any USB (universal serial bus) device such as digital camera, pen drive etc.

8. Restriction to Apps:

While using the iPad you are bound with an App store, you can't even use the third party applications and software.

Apple Ipad Detailed Specs

Apple claims that its most advanced technology is in its new ipad tablet that cost $500. The new Apple ipad Wi-Fi models will be available in mid march while its 3G models will be available in April in the market.

Most exciting and major features of Apple's ipad tablet:

1. Almost 140,000 Apps at your finger tips.

It is the best touch device which holds 140,000 apps at your finger tips. The device is compatible with "almost" all the existing apps. It can even run the apps that you have already downloaded from apple store for your iPhone or iPod.

2. 0.5 inches thick and 1.5 pound.

Before it even launch launched we knew that Apple would have to make this device slick and light weighted. Weight of only 1.5 pound makes it look like anvils (with the exception of Sony's Vaio P that weights 1.4 pound). It is 0.5 inch thin and little curve at the back makes it very comfortable to hold and pick up.

3. A4 processor of 1GHz.

To make the apps work smoothly, efficiently and quickly the processor plays the main and big role in a device. The device comes with a 1GHz A4 processor which makes the ipad to drift seamlessly through apps, auto orients in a snap, zoom fluidity etc. The A4 chip inside the ipad is extremely powerful and efficient. The processor is power efficient that helps the ipad to work longer and increase the battery backup time. On a single charge it can give up to 10 hours of backup.

4. iBooks.

While designing the ipad, apple clearly had the kindle and its e-reader in mind. Which makes the ibook one of its most critical and important features. It can eliminate the need for an extra $350 device.

5. 10 hours of battery life.

To increase the battery life lithium-polymer technology is used. You can get up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge.

6. LED backlit IPS display.

It has 9.7 inch LED IPS (in-plane switching) display that makes it perfect for watching movies, playing games, web browsing. It has 178 degree view angle that get a brilliant picture will amazing contrast while holding it anyway.

Anthem for doomed youth

What passing bells for these who die as cattle?
Only the monstrous anger of the guns.
Only the stuttering rifles rapid rattle
Can patter out their hasty orisons.
No mockeries now for them: no prayers no bell;
Nor any voice of mourning save the choirs,--
The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells;
Any bugles calling for them from sad shires,
What candles may be held to speed them all?
Not in the hands of boys but in their eyes
Shall shine the holy glimmers of goodbyes.
The pallor of girls’ brows shall be their pall;
Their flowers the tenderness of patient minds,
And each slow dusk a drawing-down of blinds.

Most Expensive Laptops

If you thought your 17” Apple MacBook or Alienware Aurora mALX qualified as an expensive laptop, think again.
In 1982 GriD Systems released the Compass 1100 laptop costing about $10,000 (inflation adjusted $20,200). Even this cost pales in comparison to the reports of a costly laptop that luxury manufacturer Luvaglio London is set to release in the near future by special order the most expensive laptop ever sold, with a price tag of a million dollars.

As of now all of the details are very sparse and the technical specifications have not been made fully available. We aren’t even sure what this laptop is made with to give it a cost of $1,000,000, but the exterior looks impressive. You can bet with a price this excessive, the expensive laptop will be a spectacle of precious metals and materials and include more than a couple gemstones
In late 2005 the Dutch company Ego Lifestyle B.V. released the Tulip E-Go Diamond laptop, which was previously the world’s most expensive laptop and this mobile computer had over 80 total carats of diamonds and a retail price of €283,000
